Was lied to about purchasing GAP insurance on a vehicle, Unethical Liars

I was in a while ago to purchase a car I had found on the internet. The person who I dealt with was Jack Cieslak who was very courteous and professional. I was quite happy with how he treated me.

The people who I were not happy with were those who prepared the paperwork, and finalized my deal.

The problem lies with what is called GAP insurance. It basically is mostly used when you use little or no money down to purchase a car. It is a generally a good idea if you are worried about totaling your car soon after the purchase, and still owing the difference on what it is worth, versus what you pay for it.

The problem with McGrath Honda of Elgin, is that they told me I was REQUIRED to purchase gap insurance THROUGH THEM in order to finalize the deal. They lied and told me that the bank would not finance me without it. That is an outright bold face lie.

With that being said, GAP insurance is not required when you buy a car with little or no money down, and on TOP of that, you can purchase GAP insurance outside of the dealership for usually 25% or more less that what it would cost from the dealer.

Watch out for these scumbags, they will lie to your face and take you for a ride at your expense. They are unethical greedy liars. If you decide to go there, watch out for Joe Parks. He's the ringleader there. Meet him first and listen to your instincts... Turn around, and walk out the door.
