Emerald Towing
They took over a month to do what they said would take three days!

Emeralds Towing has shown a complete lack of care for their customers needs. They flat out LIED about how long the repairs would take, turning the 3-4 days into OVER a month. If you have no responsibilities and don't care about being lied to and ripped off then Emeralds towing is for you! As for me, I need my car and expect to have it back within a couple days of the estimated repair time, not a month after!
I was hit by a drunk driver in late November of '07. Emeralds towing arrived on the scene and towed my car to their lot. The tow truck driver offered to have his shop, Emeralds, do an estimate on the damages and I accepted. A representative of Emeralds called me the next day with an estimate for approximately three thousand dollars worth of work and told me the repairs would take roughly three days from when the parts arrived. At that time I agreed to have Emeralds Towing fix my car. Due to some issues with the drunk driver's insurance company I was unable to immediately secure payment for the repairs. However, I was able to get a rental car and up to this point all was good.

About one week into December the parts for my car arrived and I was told my car would be ready in three to four days. After a week went by I received a phone call from Emeralds stating that there were extra repairs and it would take ONE more day. After ANOTHER WEEK went by I called Emeralds and inquired about the status of my vehicle. I was told that it should only be another day or two and that inclement weather is to blame. Now, we were having snowstorms so to some degree this is true, but the snow has now been gone for almost two weeks now and I still have no car! They told me it would be ready on a certain day so I returned my rental in anticipation of having my car returned to me and now I have been without a ride for almost two weeks and on top of that I saw several Emerald Towing trucks out in the weather so I know they weren't closed.

I still don't have my car and tomorrow is New Year's Eve. They left me stranded without a ride throughout the Holidays and have done nothing to rectify the situation. Emeralds towing is not an upstanding or honest business. I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone considering having repairs done to their vehicle steer clear of this shady shop.
