Poor Repair Record. Skirting of their responsibilities

I own a 1999 Silverado Z71 4x4 Truck. I have had it at GM service centers several times for a problem of engine knock — sticky lifters.

I have placed calls to the "customer service" centers and the constant answer is "we know about the problem and have not identified a solution".

The truck has had the problem since new (identified when cold) and I now have 70,000 miles. I don't feel consumers should have to live with GM's problems. I find this unacceptable and a skirting of their responsibilities.
