Derrick Stevyn Have you ever heard of this before? Re: pumping gas

Today 12/08 i went to the local store to get gas. I have actually never stopped there before to get gas, but had no choice or i would had been walking if i waited any longer. So i pull up look at teh pump tyo see if i have to pay before i pump. Now i wish i did have to. But i didn't so i started pumping. Knowing that i had left my wallet at home i only had a couple dollars to put in till i got home. (now i am thankful, cause i would not had been able to pay for it probally) so i go in and tell the guy that i pumped 2.01 (yeah i know ridiculous, but i had to get home) he rings it up and tells me that i owe him 3.50??? What? No i pumped 2.01 i said, he said no you pumoed 2 gallons. I am sorry i have never in my life worth of pumping seen a pump that goes by the gallons and not the price. What if i pumped a bunch thinking it was the amount. What the hell i saved the reciept and called the local poilice and asked for them to look into it, but i want to know if anyone else has had this happen to them. It is against the law and they are not supposed to have a pump set up like this. Someone needs to say something and do something cause they are making money. The pump clearly says after i looked that it was gallons. I looked after i made him give me a reciept and on it it said 1.99 galoons, i do not know about you but i know every satore goes right down to the 1/2.01 gallon to charge and he didn't. So i look and it says 2.01 gallons as they had changed it, but i know that it is wrong and it is the price and someone there is making a killing, i need to prove this though so i am going to go down to the store with a 1 gallon gas can to see if they are crooks, i bet they are. Tell me if this has happened to you so you get get reimbursed for them stealing from you in these hard times... Liz
