Missing My Personal Items

On Wednesday November 26, I was involved in an auto accident that required my car to be towed by Storey Wrecker. Since the wreck happened so fast and I was a little shaken up after the fact, I didn't have time to get my personal belongings out of the car before towing.

My car spent two nights and one day at Storey's holding lot and during that time my Oakley Five Sunglasses went missing. I know the sunglasses were in the car before and during the accident, because I used them that day and put them back in their place. They were stored in the center cup holder console, which has a latch to open it. Along with the sunglasses I am missing the sunglass pouch, it was also stored in the same location but the glasses weren't in the pouch. I know that the sunglasses didn't fly out during the accident because the entire car was closed up during the crash (no compartments came open nor were any windows open).

In addition, Storey took out my radar detector but I was able to claim it with their front office. The radar detector was hard wired into the fuzz panel so it would have been really obvious if it was missing. Finally when I was able to go through the car I noticed that my personal items were rummaged through.

I have tried to work this out with, Rick Olfaro, in Storey's Claims Department, but he wasn't able to get it resolved. I've had to call them five times over a four day period just to get updates and see where we need to go to get this resolved. I am very disappointed in the quality of service I received at Storey and would like to notify other wary consumers of this company.
