I put a deposit on a vehicle at Desert Autoplex in Tempe, AZ and had paperwork in writing stating the purchase was pending me driving the vehicle and deposit was refundable if it did not meet my expectations. Our stupid fault was that we at the same time sent loan paperwork thinking this agreement would cover us.

Desert Autoplex, 2 days before I test drove the vehicle (I was out of state) processed all of the paperwork. So technically we owned the vehicle although it was not per our agreement. After test driving the vehicle I could tell it was beat on, had a screw in the tire, cracked windshield, loud exhaust, the tires rubbed the shock towers, and who knows what else is wrong.

I left the lot with them saying "you already own it, tough luck". I was to have a navigation system installed with a backup camera and tinted windows after driving the vehicle, per our agreement if I liked the vehicle, which I did not. I did not hear from them for three days and I decided to contact them and be sure the deal was over. They friggin went and installed the navigation, tint, etc. And said its yours, tough luck.

I did not know my legal right and finally took delivery of the vehicle as i did not want them to have posession of a vehicle I "supposedly" owner. Legally taking delivery and making a payment before contacting a lawyer screwed me and they knew exactly what they were doing, I am sure if you look online you will find other people who dealt with and had issues with this mom and pop ripoff dealership.

Please if nothing else, if you feel for some reason you must buy from this place, DO NOT sign any paperwork or put money down without seeing and test driving the vehicle. You will be pulled in like I was and be stuck with no rights. They obviously have done this before and I have also read on other boards them selling junk vehicles. PLEASE watch your back with this company, someday they will be busted unfortunately I am not the one who can do anything, only warn fellow consumers.
