Enterprise Rental Cars
Sold me for extra insurance that I specifically declined, and led me to believe that it was covered by the car dealership renting me a vehicle. I was later charged for the insurance

Cars & Transport

While my Volkswagen Jetta was geting a 40,000 mile tune up, the dealership offered to rent me a car from Enterprise Rentals in Torrance, Ca. When I went to pick up the vehicle, they offered me extra insurance, which I declined, and then asked me to sign their paperwork.

When I asked if everything I was signing was going to be covered by the dealership, I was told YES! Later, there was a charge to my credit card (which they had taken supposedly for incidentals) for the extra insurance. When I confronted them, they said that the dealership only covers the basic rental and that I had signed for extra insurance. I later found out, from an ex employee of Enterprise, that they are given incentives to sell the extra insurance. This experience was appalling and the deceit on the part of the Enterprise employee who tricked me was more upsetting than the actual charges. After repeatedly trying to get in contact with the "manager" and not getting my phone calls returned, I decided to file a report here. I will never return to Enterprise and I have told and will continue to tell everyone I can about their corrupt business practices. I will also continue to try to get my refund!
