Suspicious Alignment

On October 15 I took my 2003 Ford Mustang to Les Schwab for an alignment. I specifically told the employee who helped me that my car pulled to the right. He said it was no problem and everything seemed simple. $54.75 is a pretty good price, but I guess you get what you pay for.

When I picked the car up, I received the printout of the caster & camber angles etc. The technician told me that the alignment was off a little bit, but he fixed it and it drives better.

Get in my car to drive off and the first thing I notice is the steering wheel is now off center. Second thing I notice is that the car pulls even more to the right than before the alignment.in fact, I would classify it as dangerous to drive. They have a 30 day warranty on alignments, so I call up on October 24.

I tell the employee on the phone my issues. He asks me what kind of car, and when I tell him an 03 Mustang he said, "There's not a lot of adjustments that can be made on Mustangs." I asked him why they didn't inform me of that when I brought the car in, and he quickly said that they would take a look at it.

I can't claim "Ripoff" just yet. We will see if they can fix it. But, it sure seems like they aren't too skilled in doing alignments. I've heard before from friends that they would never have their cars aligned at Les Schwab, but I have always been treated well there.

So, I take the car in on October 25. I will post a follow up after that. I was surprised to see how many postings about Les Schwab there were on ripoffereport.com
