City Toyota ripoff tricked and lied to us

Okay, here goes my ranting review of the Toyota dealership in Daly City. (I've just had the most horrible new car buying experience.)

I had negotiated a good price with the internet sales manager there, and went in on Tuesday to close the deal. When I arrived, he did not have 2 of the 3 keys that come with the car, the owners manual, plus there was a spot on the bumper where some paint had chipped off. He said that the board holding all the keys in one garage had disappeared, and they were in the process of looking for it. I don't understand why they couldn't have just made a copy of the keys before I came. Of course he had not mentioned any of this over the phone. When I complained he said he would give me a "due bill", ie. A piece of paper saying they'll fix it next time I come back and when I do, it'll waste another full day.

Eventually he said he would touch up the spot and get all the keys within the next two days, and then we'd come back to close the deal. Of course that took 30 minutes of harrassment... Him saying that someone else could come in and buy the car anytime. Load of crap.

He calls Thursday and tells me everything is all set. I ask him countless times to make sure he has EVERYTHING. The paint, the keys, the manual. He says he has it all. So we go over to the dealership again after work.

This second time, he does have the keys and the manual. We take a look at the spot on the bumper. Oh. My. God. It was the ugliest touch up job I have ever seen in my life. All lumpy and you could still see the black underneath. He says, well it's not black anymore. I wanted to slap the sleazy grin of his face. I could have done an even better job than that! He has a body shop for the dealership, but why didn't he use it??? He said it would take another day or two to get that done, but in the meanwhile someone else might come and buy the car. I told him to cut the crap. I was infuriated.

City Toyota does not deserve anyone's business. I'm never going near that dealership again.
