Folsom Lake RV
Sales Gimmick Ripoff!

My wife and I purchased a Recreational Vehicle from Folsom Lake RV (a few miles north-east of Sacramento) a few months ago. As part of the sales pitch a cruise trip was offered as an incentive.

During the purchase process we received a "Cruise Certificate" good for either a 5 day cruise, for 2, to Catalina Island or a 5 day cruise, for 2, to the Bahamas, sponsored by "Grand Prix Vacations, Inc."

Included in this certificate was a registration form to be filled out and mailed to VIP Vacations Inc., 10843 Gulfdale. Suite 101, San Antonio, Texas 78216.

I completed and mailed this form to that address on January 3. The envelope was returned to me with a "Notify Sender of New Address" message. I proceeded to mail the registration form to the new address of VIP Vacations Inc., 5940 Pacific Mesa Ct, Ste 203, San Diego, CA 92121-4317.

This envelope was also returned to me with the message "VIP Vacations moved, left no address, unable to forward, return to sender".
Apparently this company has gone out of business.

I feel that this portion of the RV sale was part of our sales agreement and this part has not been fulfilled.

I have left two phone messages to the Folsom Lake RV sales manager, about this situation, with no reply. I have also e-mailed two messages to the e-mail address (listed on their web homepage) but have not received replies to those either. I have also written a letter to the owners of Folsom Lake RV, with no reply.

I have also contacted a local television station consumer advocates group for help. They have contacted Folsom Lake RV about this situation. Folsom Lake RV has promissed to contact me several times but they have never attempted to call or contact me.

I feel that they are not fulfilling their obligation and are not taking care of business. They are ignoring this situation completely. To this date I have never received a reply from Folsom Lake RV. This is a rip-off for the buyer!!
