Snellville, GA $99.88 #1 ripoff in the world (almost the same diagnosis for everyone)

Afew weeks ago I took my wifes Toyota Camry to the Just Brakes in Snellville for the 99.88 special. They were very polite and professional on the phone. Got there and after an hour and 45 minutes the car was finally brought in and 30 minutes later a tall skinny guy calls me to the shop.

He went over all that was wrong and that it would be over $349 to fix. I asked him what was wrong with the car and he proceeded to tell me that the pads were almost metal which I could see, I needed to have my calipers rebuilt or repaired, hardware were old and that I will need special pads. I told him give me afew let me check with the wife.

While waiting for the callback, the other gentleman that was sitting in the waiting area asked what did I need and I told him. He says "we both need the same things". Another customer came in to pick up his car and while checking him out I was listening to what was done to his car, GUESS WHAT? Same indentical repairs.

I called a friend that used to work for Just Brakes in TX, until last year. I told him about what was going on and he broke it down in very simple terms. He says that for the 99.88 they really can't make any money doing it and it would make their operation cost so high so the head people want all the cars to have hydraulic repairs done to every car regardless of what the main complain is. If they managers show up at the stores and no calipers or wheel cylinders are done, they get chewed for it. Hence they pad on all the hydraulic repairs to make it better for operations.

I told the guy that my wife didn't want it done today and he was nice enough to put it back togather quickly.

In closing it doesn't make a difference which Just Brakes you go to, they are trained to befriend you so when you get hit with the $998.88 (not 99.88) you will feel like they are being truthful and just sign agreeing to it.

Do not go any just brakes.
