Ford doesn't stand behind it's product Their customer service is horrible

I own a 04 Ford Expedition. About 2 years ago (when it was under warranty) I noticed that the side molding (plastic) was turning from gray to white. I thought it was from my car wash. I even changed car washes. I had the car in for warranty work and no one said anything to me. Then I happened upon a website w / other Epedition and F150 owners w / the same problems. I called Ford. They told me to get an estimate and a diagnosis. I did this. The best they could come up w / is to pay for half. When I called and talked to a supervisor he said since I was unhappy w / the offer they take the offer away. All I want is Ford to pay for the Plastic that they put on the car. Ford knows there is a problem and won't take care of it. They changed the plastic once they figured out there was a problem. All I get from the call center is "That is what the warranty is for". And since I wasn't happy they wouldn't negotiate w / the amount they just took the offer away so I have to pay for the whole thing. I can't get from them who made this decision so I can talk to them. I can't talk to anyone higher than the supervisor because "he is the highest person here" I can't even find out what company made the plastic so I can try from that angle. All I want is for my 4 year old 40k dollar vehicle to look like it is 4 years old and not 25 years old. I would be happy to pay for the labor part of my estimate but Ford should have to pay for the bad plastic that they put on the car. Stand by their product and get some customer service skills.
