Somebody swapped my working GPS unit for one that doesn't work while performing $457 in services

I took my truck in for an oil change, idler arm replacement, and alignment. The service center had my truck for about 3 1/2 hours. After I picked up my truck I thought nothing of the GPS unit, I just went home. The next morning I got up to go look for work and tried to use my GPS unit to find an address to look for a job and it didn't work. I realized that this unit was beat up and scratched and the serial numbers did not match the numbers on the box that my GPS came in. I went back to the service center and they blew me off and said that they were not going to do anything about it. They said I would have to get the police involved so I did. I had the Oceanside Police Dispatcher send an officer and he basically just took my statement, took down the serial numbers from my GPS packaging and the GPS that someone swapped with mine (that was abused and didn't work), then he put the bad GPS in his patrol car as evidense and sent me on my way. After dealing with the police officer I called the customer service center for express tire and they just told me that one of the service techs submitted to search of his tools and vehicle but there was more than one person working on my truck, why didn't they all cooperate? I am really upset, I took my truck in for $457 in services and while my truck was in thier possession someone took my GPS unit out of my truck and replaced it with one that was beat and didn"t work, But it looked like mine. I am now out the $300 to replace the GPS unit that I constantly use to find job sites, and I can't afford to replace it at this time so I have to go with out it.
