Order never came, "customer support" couldn't find it, warehouse couldn't ship right

Cars & Transport

So let me start by saying that I'm wintering in Mexico and suddenly found a need for the rack and pinion on my 1973 Pinto station wagon. Being in an area with no Pep Boys around the corner, I looked online and found a great deal at www.thepartsbin.com. That was where the great part ended.

Since I'm in Mexico and shipping is not very feasible to a non-address, a friend was coming down and I arranged for the part to be shipped there to be carried across the border a week or so later. No problem right? Wrong! On the day the part was guaranteed to arrive there... No part. Upon calling them (at rather large long distance rates), I was told the part was still in the warehouse!!! Great, well ok. I still need it, so I change the address to another person who might be coming down soon. No problems again right? Wrong!!!

It is now 6/25... One month after ordering and being charged the $220 promptly. I have no part. I called 2 weeks ago and was told they "didn't know where the part was" and that they were issuing a refund for the purchase that would be on my account in 2 days. Within 2 days a credit for $19 was in my account, but in my world that is NOT $220! So I call back. Once again (remember this is 3 calls noted here and there are several I haven't mentioned) I get someone with very little grasp of English who is not afraid to apologize and admit to knowing nothing! I am told that refunds take 2-4 weeks. I ask for a manager. I am told that "transfers are not allowed" so I let "Christina" know that she can go get a manager and bring them to her phone but that I want a manager and I want one now. She runs off to find one. Several minutes later she returns and tells me they aren't available because they are "all in the meeting". I let her know that I've been that manager and her excuse is lame and phony. I give her feedback for the company and tell her to jot it down... She lets me know the call is recorded. Good... Maybe the CEO can hear me tell her the company sucks and this is bullsh$#!

Do NOT do business with these people. They will charge your card, give you lame excuses and not want to give your money back. Scam artists and a$holes the lot of em!

Now... On to the BBB!:-)
