Fraudulent ripoff business selling used cars

We bought a used car from a man calling himself Les Edelson. He signed the title as Les in front of a notary he obviously knew. When we got back to Chester County, we called him about a noise that car was making, and he said it is a wheel bearing, and if we take it to his mechanic, he will pay half the bill.

We did, but before hand took it to our mechanic who said it would need a new transmission. His mechanic swore it was the wheel bearing, and replaced it. It still made the noise, and we had to pay 350. To get it back. We took him to court, and got no further cooperation from the man.

Upon judgement of the court that the mechanic needed to pay us the money for fraudulant repair, the mechanic unveiled the scheme "Les" has going. He operates using several names and phone numbers. He usually advertises in the Philadelphia Inquirer, selling up to 10 cars at one time. He uses false names to make the transactions, even at the notary (he was never asked for ID, although we were).

He is also treasurer at a car dealership in Philly, and obviously uses them to not pay taxes on cars he buys and resells. His name was not on the title of the car we bought. If you encounter this man, please report him to the proper authorities.

Once we found out his real name is Joel Fine, we took him to court to recoup losses. He never even had the nerve to show up there, and was ordered to pay 900.00 to us, which we have never seen. And whatever happens, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MAN!!!
