On Northwest Highway Dallas TexasChacon Auto Getting paid twice for same car

I fell behind in my payments within a week went back to pay all fees I oweed and was informed they wrote car off and have to resale vehicle back to me for what was my balance on what was owed. I was very confussed and it didn't sound right to me but in all I needed my car being a single parent with two children and live in a part of Dallas where transportation is not reliable. Now that this has appeared on my credit report as an reposession. I feel that there is something that I could do but don't know what and how and on my income can't afford an lawyer or their words. Please if their is someone out there that could help me in this matter please do. This is something that don't look. Feel right plaese somone if there is something that could be done please help.
