Richard Hibbard Chevrolet Richard "RIP-OFF" Hibbard Chevrolet violates California Code of Regulations. Service Advisor dishonest. Apparently trained by Service Manager

Service department violates California Code of Regulations and Business and Professions code.

Did not provide written estimate of repairs until work near complete. After asking for the estimate for 2 days, received a printout from parts department showing cost of parts already replaced.

Parts not discussed or relative to work I requested replaced without contacting me for authorization. Rear control arm replaced without authorization during requested repair of front suspension. While Tech. Road tested after repair, car stalled.installed new fuel pump/sender without contacting me for authorization. Service advisor told me there would be no charge for this.

Other work included as part of verbal estimate was not completed, although total bill higher than estimated.invoice indicated 3 revised estimates approved by me. They were not! When questioning this, I was told that was "just tax"!

I was charged for the rear control arm as well as the fuel pump/sender. When I reminded service advisor I was told there would be no charge for this, he told me "You're right. I should not have told you that". I was not charged for the labor to replace the fuel pump... Which was a 5 hour job?

Argued with Advisor and Service Manager the following morning. Until total bill was reluctantly reduced from $4,700.00 to original verbal estimate of $4,200.00, however did not receive the 10% discount on parts and labor I was offered at time of that estimate.

Paid the bill, got the keys and drove away... Only to find out my power windows did not work.
