Cute commercials, but service does not live up to hype, Lakeland, Ft. Myers

Geico does not communicate with policyholders effectively. They also do not live up to what they say they will do. I was told that I had a maximum 30 days for use of a rental car, which was great since i was in the middle of a major move and working with but one arm. After about a week, my vehicle was totalled out, which cancelled my rental vehicle, and was not notified by Geico of such action. I was told this by the rental agency a week after this action. They were not acting humanly, as their commercials lead you to believe they do. I ended up keeping the vehicle for the month and a bit longer as i was not able to secure another vehicle in the short time they allowed me.

When I finally did get another vehicle, which i am extremely pleased with, geico lead me to believe that my lienholder was paid or being paid off in full. I drove off the lot in my new vehicle. Roughly two weeks after that, I was told by geico that they would only pay a portion of the claim and i was responsible for the remainder (it was at this point i found out about my lack of GAP insurance). They also said they needed a power of atty form from me to transfer the title of the old vehicle into their name.

In the meantime, my leinholder is not being paid and the interest/late fees mount up. This whole ordeal has taken way too much of my vacation time away from me and i was even told from the dealership that i would have to return the car if this wasn't cleared up soon! I don't blame the dealership or my leinholder for this debacle, i totally blame GEICO! I am thinking of filing a lawsuit over this. Do I have a legitimate gripe?
