Negligence ripped me off

In August I bought a used 2002 Kia Rio from McCafferty Ford. I came with a 2-year limited warranty on the power train. The saleman was looking for the spare keys and owner's manual while I was paying the finance officer in cash for the car. When my transaction was finished, he told me that he couldn't locate them at the moment, but would mail them to me. After a few weeks of calling, I finally received one additional key, but no manual. I finally stopped calling to try to get a manual, becase my day to day life just didn't allow me to remember about it after awhile. I never received any reminders for service. I had no idea that Kia's needed their timing belt changed at 60,000 since I didn't have a manual. Same thing. 70,000 miles, my daughter is on the highway and the car just quits. My local mechanic tells me that the engine is seized after AAA tows it to him. But the oil is fine. Of course it is! I do normal maintenance. I call McCafferty and they try to say that I don't have enxtended warranty on it. Luckily, I had it in my hand while service is checking on their computer and telling they have no record of my warranty. The women finally admits that alot of them just ddn't get entered and goes back, checks the actual paperwork, and finally admits I have one. She admitted she knew alot weren't entered onto their computer, but was not volunteering that information until I started reading my warranty info to her. I had the car towed to McCafferty and low and behold. Timing belt. She tells me that this needed to be changed at 60,000. How can I do scheduled maintenance, when I was never given an owner's manual? I did what I would consider normal maintenace for a car that I had only had a year. Who changes a timing belt at 60,000. Without an owner's manual I had no way of knowing Kias were special in this regard.
