Airport Appliance - where customers come last! Airport Appliance in Hayward, CA was one of my worst customer experiences ever. First lets start with the incompetent Sales Person. Not only did they order the wrong parts, not include the parts we did discuss and try to "do me a service" by including it for free after they messed up, but also does not return phone calls. And when I do call I received the standard, "Oh, I was just about to call you." or "I was just reviewing your file." Mark Ratkin if you ever read this - treat your customers with some respect, and return their calls. Next the installers that they use tried to install an obviously damaged part. Also, when I thought something was wrong with the part that they installed, I asked "Would this damage my home?" and they said, "Probably" and left without any concern. Clearly, the customer is very important to them. After receiving poor service from the installers, and my sales person (who the people at the desk would only let me speak to - never a manger). They promised to right things, and only fed me another bunch of lies. Finally, I cancelled my orders and asked for my money back. This process took longer than it should be. Also, they told me that everything was processed on one date only to find out that they haven't even gotten to my return yet. Also, they tried to charge me for delivery of the parts. I will not use this company again, and believe it is a service to anyone to inform them of the crappy service. Here are the stats: Ordered a washer and dryer on Dec 282 attempted deliveries1 pickup17 days to receive refund money15 phone calls necessary to clear up the refund issues. 70 phone calls dealing with this company. From day 1 to final refund - 64 days
