A Eastern Conection
Did not perform per contract and has yet to refund money

Contacted A Eastern connection on 08/07 to carry a car from Livingstone, Mt. To Katy, Tx. (just west of Houston). Paid the quoted amount and was told the car would be picked up between 8/16-8/18.

AEC was a no show. When I called to find out the status, I was told that the original driver was "Held Up" and could not make. Another drive would be sent to pick up the car within the following week. Another no show. After that, each time AEC was contacted, the pick-up time was moved to the next week or weekend.

On 09/18, there would no longer be anyone available to release the car the AEC. My parents who had the car where going out of town. Whwn my Dad asked what would happen if the driver arrived after the 18th, AEC responed with "We'll cross that bridge when we get there."

They did not show. I called to cancel the order on 09/17. The following day I got a call from a company telling me that they were on theie way to pick up the car but could not get a hold of my parents. I told him that they had gone out of town and that I had canceled the order the day before. He said that his company had received the order the afternoon of 09/17.

I faxed a letter to AEC to formally cancel the order on 09/19. Took 2 days couse I was out of town on the 17th. Also, the agent at AEC told me that I was due a full refund. Per their contract, if the car is not picked up within 14 days after the original on or about pick-up date and the order is canceled, the customer is entitled to a full refund.

As of 10/30, I have called 3 times to follow up on my refund and have not been able to get an answer.
