$149 dollar brake job ended up costing me $416 bucks to fix correctly

I paid $149 bucks for a front and rear break job. Within a couple days as I drove around getting things ready for an out of state move, I noticed an annoying vibration when the brakes were applied. This vibration grew worse and after a couple months I actually got a call from just brakes to follow up on the repairs they made. I said I had a vibration, and I needed to get it into the shop. He said yea, just bring it in. I said I was in St Louis now and I would find one around my area and get it fixed. Needless to say when I found there was not a Just Brakes in the area, I was dissapointed.

I contacted the customer service via the internet website that Just brakes maintains. I was told to go ahead and get the repairs made anyplace I wanted and then I could fax him (Ben) both receipts for them to look at.

I took it to a respectable repair chain in my area and they said I could get $100 re-machine job, but it would likely warp again cause it is almost to thin, Or to just install 2 new rotors it would be about $400 bucks parts and labor. I choose the new rotors because I need brakes that actually work, and I am tired of mickey mousing around with these places and there marginal repairs. Long story short, I faxed the original and my other reciepts to just brakes to see what they could do for me... He offered me a whopping $23 bucks which is half the machining labor that they did'nt do right in the first place.

So, be aware they do not guarantee that they won't mess up something that you will end up having replaced correctly on your own coin.
