Just Brakes
Tried to perform unnessary repairs. Tried to convince us that there were safety issues. A second opinion confirmed that these repairs were not needed

We took our car in to Just Brakes in Frisco and spoke to Byron, the manager. He inspected our car, called my husband and I into the bay and informed us his news was not good. He claimed that we needed both front and rear brakes, rotors, calipers, caliper pistons and disk hardware. He also instructed that we need a bleed and fill.

When asked if we could only have the break pads and rotors taken car of, he tried to convince us that if we did only these repairs it would be a safety issue and not only that, we would be back within two weeks for the remainder of the repairs. Stunned, we told him we needed overnight to think about this.

We wanted to decide whether to have the repairs or get other estimates. We called him a few hours later and asked him to put the parts back together and we would be by to pick up the car to get other estimates. He insisted that he would be $200 under any repair. We took our car to the dealer the next day.

Without telling them what had happened we told them our brakes were squeaking and we believed we needed front and rear brakes. To our surprise, the service department called us and said the rear braes were in good condition and we only needed front brakes! Our total repair cost was $250.
