Where do I begin. I went into DriveTime thinking my experiance would be as good as my daughters was. Little did I know that they have horrible customer service. I purhcased my 2003 Ford Windstar signed the paper work & little did they tell my that they vehicle had been in a car accident not once but twice.
I was looking over my paper work & found a car fax report that I had not seen at signing. I realized that they car had a accident report. I went to the dealership the next day and spoke to the general manager Manuel. I asked that I be put into a different vehicle that I did not want a vehicle that had been in an accident. I was told that there was nothing that he could do for me.
I drove this car for a little bit & long and behold everything started to make noise, the air didint work well, the interior lights flash off & on, the power steering pump makes a bad noise & the transmission sometimes jurks when put into gear. I also asked that the front be realigned it was steering all over the road. I take it to the mechanics shop that drivetime requested to be taken (Arlington Service Center).
I was told by the mechanics shop that nothing was wrong with air, that the power steering pump was fine that they drained air out of the line, never looked at the transmission, the lights still have not been fixed after 4 trips to the shop & when I left the vehicle the second time the shop broke the front knee assembly & damaged the front bumper. When approached about the pulling now the opposite side of the vehicle the shop told me that now it needed a new knee assembly.
Why I asked, they could not answer my question. When approached regaurding the front of my vehicle being damaged they got very defensive but was willing to repair it for free.
I then finally let them repair the knee assembly, they used parts from the junk yard not new, but keep in mind the lights still flicker on & off. I think that the lights are from the accident that this vehicle had been in.
I finally went down to the dealership again & approached Manuel the GM. About trading vehicle again, again I was told if I had come in 51 days earlier they could have helped me.
Oh my gosh, I did approach them the next day after I singed the paper work, again was told that nothing could be done.
After several calls to the home office still nothing.
Buyers beware they are a rip-off!
