Tire Center ripoff consumer fraud rip-off

I purchased 2 new tires at the WalMart store in Brownwood, TX the day before I moved to Lawrenceburg, KY. About a month after, one of the tires kept needing air, so I took it off and replaced with the old (spare).

About 2 months later, I had the time to get my entire vehicle checked by a mechanic because it was wobbling, and informed him to check the new tire for the reason it was leaking air. He did. I was totally shocked when he said the reason for the leak was the "old plug had come loose". When I told him the tire was brand new and there should not be a plug in it, he corrected me, saying that the tire HAD been plugged -but not well - and that plug had loosened. He then told me that the reason for the wobble was the 'lump' on the other (new) tire. He showed it to me as well.

I took the car to the Walmart in Frankfort, KY and their tire center replaced the 2 (new) tires with 2 newer tires AT MY EXPENSE. Despite repeated calls to the Frankfort store, the manager NEVER responded. AND - contrary to the belief of that Sam's club person who wrote on this venue that managers ALWAYS respond when someone calls the 800 number - NOBODY ever called me back after calling it. I wrote several emails, even a snail-mail letter to the company PRESIDENT... Nada. Zip.

I went so far as write to the STATE OF TEXAS CONSUMER DIVISION and I got a letter from them stating they were sending the letter to WalMart corporate. NOTHING! It's like I'm in the land of OZ.

I still have the tires. But I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy tires from WalMart again. Shame on you, walmart corporate people, president et. Al. For having such TOTAL DISREGARD to your clients. What happened to KMART can very easily happen to you as well... You shouldn't be so smug.
