Tire Warranty NOT honored

I went in for a repair on a tire that was flat. They could not repair it or look at it until real late that day. I told them fine I would come by the next day.

When I got there NO ONE had even checked out the tire. The person at the counter told me it couldn't be done as the screw was on the shoulder and I would need to purchase another tire. I told him I had the warranty and wanted to know how much another tire would be? He quoted me around $60.00 not counting valve stem and the charge for discarding the other tire.

I then chose to take my tire back and drove down to another auto service place. They looked at it and said there were two tacks and that it would take about 40 minutes to fix. I have been driving on that tire for over 2,000 miles.

My complaint is that I had to pay for someone else to fix my tire. That Firestone has this policy to where if you pay extra for road hazard (which I did), they would repair and rotate my tires free.instead as I had at a Firestone in Hayward. They will do anything to get you to believe that something needs replacing immediately. So, you will have them do it right that minute/day. The one in Hayward told me I needed brakes on all four and it was going to cost me almost $500.00, that I should not attempt to drive home they are soooo bad. I took it directly to another auto place and had them inspect them. Firestone lied on that part also. When I did need my front only done approximately 3 months later due to alot of driving/braking. It wasn't even 1/4 of what Firestone quoted me. They not only over charge on their services, they over exaggerate your problems. I hope that older people like myself learn to NEVER EVER take the first place as written in stone. Go and check what a auto service place says and ask another one or two to be sure your not being taken for an expensive ride.

I also paid for lifetime alignment. Which the last two times they were suppose to have done the corrections on my car. I drove off only to find that it was still pulling to one side. So, why are they keeping my car on the rack? Not doing what I paid for on the services. I still have not gotten my refund to the tire repair or alignment.
