Longwood Industries a FRAUD!

I can see from the other reports on this site that Longwood has been ripping people off for a few years now. I was conned into placing an ad through them with the promises of selling our vehicle. They promised a refund if we did not sell after 30 days, but neglected to tell me you have 10 days after the intial 30 to apply for the refund and that I had to get the receipt notarized... Here in Canada it costs an average of $30 to get a notary. Had I know this I would not have accepted in the first place. I called 3 times and was hung up on each time and my calls were not answered after that as they have caller ID which I found out on the third call when I did not even give my name and the rep said my full name and address.

The emails the company did send of 'prospective buyers' listed and email address to reply the the 'buyers' (the buyers were in TX, VA, WV and WI and I am in Eastern Ontario... I don't think someone will come from TEXAS to get a truck from Eastern ONTARIO CANADA!). When I tried to send an email an error appeared each time. The leave you no way to contact anyone. I tried to reply to other sellers listings to test the system out, and not a single email went through.

I had my vehicle listed through another form of advertisement (this is how Longwood found me). I contacted them about the situation and they said they are aware of it, but cannot do anything or warn customers as it would be seen as 'slander' which is illegal. Longwood has been getting away with this for years, so word of mouth must be used to stop anyone else losing their hard earned money to these scam artists!!!
I will never see my refund, but hopefully this will open the eyes of someone else who will not end up in the same situation.
