Ripoff! Don't work here! They won't pay you

I worked for Autozone for less than a week. I made about 19 hours of pay. I was offered a higher paying job just after I started. This all happened about three months ago. I received a pay stub stating I had made 11 hours of pay. I have called every other day to the manager of my store, to the district manager, and to the Autozone payroll services. Each keeps putting the blame on the other two and sending me to them. I am tired of this game (it must be a game to fight 8 hours of pay???!!!).

SO! To recap. First, if you don't have direct deposit, they will assign you a "check card" that charges you to use it almost everywhere ($1 to $2). They told me they do not use paper checks anymore...

Second, they WILL stiff you for time. It might only be thirty minutes every other day but that does add up (half an hour lost every other day equals 91 hours lost at the end of the year!!! That's almost a THOUSAND dollars!).

Third, their pay sucks. I was hired as a manager and was hourly (no overtime but I was to be EXPECTED to work 40 hours a week) at $10/hr...

Now to the positive side... If there is one. There motto is 'Sell it right, Keep it sold'. From my experience with the corporate side of this company they 'try' to uphold this. However, it seems on the regional side they could really care less. It's like the brain doesn't know what the hands are doing.

So, there is my two cents. If it helps anyone not to get RIPPED OFF then this post was worth it. I doubt I'll ever see my $80.
