Beware! Dirty deals, dirty dealers!

First off the salesman, Dave Scott came to my house and tricked me into answering the door because he left when I didn't answer the door the first time and called 15 minutes later and when I answered the door he told me he was just turning into my driveway. I wamt go into the details of the horrible experience I had at the dealership but these people took advantage of my situation as a single mom and pressured me into signing a contract by playing on my fears and lying about the terms.

I made a foolish mistake in trusting the salesman. It was late about 9:00 pm and the papers came at me so fast nothing was explained. I have bought cars before but I had always came back the next day to close the deal. I relly did not understand. I did not read the contract myeyes were blurry and tired and I did not have my glasses. The figures were changed. Dave Scott had totaled everything up on note paper and has put 5400.00 for my trade in, this was changed to 4,000.00 on the contract I had specified no more than 60 month loan terms and they put in 72 months.

Then they call me two days later and said the bank had not approved my loan and wanted to bring a new contract to my house for me to sign.By this time I had read the contract and I had prayed for the chance to get out of it. I told them I wanted to return the new car and would not sign anything. I had a lawyer to write a letter telling them this also. When I tried to make arrangments to get my old car back it had already been sold and then and suddenly my loan had been approved after all.

Now the first payment is due and I have not heard from the bank. However yesterday I received two letters from two different lenders saying that they could not approve my loan applications under the terms requested by Limbaugh Toyota on my behalf. Isn't it illegal to apply for credit on behalf of someone after they have made it clear that they wanted out of the contract and would not sign a new one? Also I had told them this within three days but they said their was no cooling off period. I am sick about ths whole mess and afraid they might mess up my credit somehow. I could use some advice and I have documentation to back up everything that has happened. I would warn anyone not to do business with these people.
