Scott, a Cresent salesman, contacted me and stated he could save me money and buy out my current contracts by signing on with his company. He showed up at my business not once but twice to go over all the information and any questions I had. My major complaint was being told not only by Scott but by the confirmation operator that both my existing contracts would be bought out if I signed up with Cresent. I didn't have a problem with the current company I was dealing with but when Scott said he could save me about $500.00 yr, he got my attention. Scott said to send my existing Veriphone machine back to my current company and when the bill came to close out the contract, I was to fax it to a guy named Dave at Cresent so he could pay it off. IT NEVER HAPPENED! The next month I still had money taken out of my account from my origional company. I called Cresent and they said they don't buy out leases-thats not what I was told nor did what I faxed over to them have the word LEASE anywheres on it. I called to talk with Dave and was told he no longer works at Cresent. I called Scott and he said he would handle everything. Five days later, when Scott didn't get back with me I called Cresent again. They stated they wouldn't pay off my $538.08 buy out but they would let me out of their 4yr contract. So instead of saving $500.00, Scott has now cost me $538.08 PLUS the cost of me signing on with another company! Scott also stated there was no contract. About 2 weeks after I signed, I got the hard copy, with my name spelled wrong, wrong address and also noticing a 4yr contract. NEVER electronically sign your name when a salesman tell you to. It magically appears on other lines you didn't intend to sign up for. Cresent is a horrible company that just kept repeating crap about the contract and not listening to the HORRIBLE experience via their salesman. He got his comission and bailed. His wife even said that Cresent told him if was to talk to me again that he would be fired. I don't know if that is true or not but how pathetic. OH, They also shut my machine off on February 19th even though it was paid for through the end of February. When I asked for some money back they refused! Imagine my embarrasment when I attempted to run a costomers card and it stated the Terminal ID was not valid! I have also lost money by having to bill some clients due to them not carrying cash or checks. Very inconvenient! Do not sign on with cresent!
