Does no honor rebate offer. Ripoff

I purchased a generator that was advertised in the Sunday paper. The price listed included a $20.00 rebate. I sent in the duplicate receipt provided by the cashier and the rebate form with the generator circled. I also circled the item on the receipt.

About a month later, I received a post card stating that the item I purchased did not qualify for a rebate. I returned to the store where the exact same signage was posted with the rebate still in effect. I spoke with the manager who told me I must have done something wrong to not receive the rebate. I actually described to him the rebate processing steps and he just shook his head and walked away.

I am currently in the process of filing this with the state attorney general's office.
