Ripoff deceptive fraud cheating

I had a "service engine soon" lite on. I was told that this is an emissions related problem. I know that Auto Warranty Repair does not EVER pay for diagnostics or anything related to emissions. I had a repair center diagnose the problem at my expense.

I fully knew and expected to pay for any diagnostics and emissions related parts. I was informed that the problem was inside the transmission and needed to be rebuilt for $3000. I had the service center call Tony at Auto Warranty and inform him of the situation. Tony called me and asked if I had ever serviced the transmission. I said I would check my records and see.

After looking thru my files I did find a receipt showing that it had been done. I called the transmission shop if they could fax to Tony their original copy because my copy was a very faded carbon copy. After receiving the fax Auto Warranty accused me and the transmission shop of fraud and threatened legal action against us. 2 days later I got a letter stating they denied my claim because they were not informed before the car was brought in for service.

Why would I call them for something I know they don't cover? The letter also stated that I have to pay to repair the transmission or they would deny any future claims on the transmission. My policy has no deductible that I paid extra for and in 2 previous claims for power window repairs I had to pay out $200.

They are a complete ripoff and if you do have a policy with them don't expect them to honor their contract. They are "self insured" and have to pay for any repairs out of their pockets. Every other warranty company uses an insurance company to administor their policies and claims. So they will fight you on every dollar you are owed.
