Ripoff, bait and switch

Company email answered part search (trans for 92 F350 Ford 15 Pax van) with "we have your transmission, $745 56,000 miles."

Called and discussed special heavy duty size of my current trans and Al said get the number off the name plate. If it was an F2UPCA they had the trans. Called back to confirm it indeed was that number and another man took the call and said he could take the order. I explained that it had to be the F2UPCA and he said it is.
One week later a trans arrived and it was not what I ordered, and was wrong part number and 6inches shorter than I needed.
Emailed them about the problem and they responded "$2145.00-71,000 miles" I don't know what will come of this but it smacks of dishonest as a minimum. I'll keep you posted.
