Improper repair of my 85 year mothers tire ON MOTHERS DAY, now she is driving on a tire that they say is fixed! Ripoff

Mothers Day May 13th my nephew, his 5 year old son, my mother and me were going to eat when we had a flat tire. We pulled off the road and removed the tire. I checked the tire and it had a cut about 1/4 inch long between the tread and you could see white strings (CORDS) sticking out of the cut.

My mother checked the paper, she bought the 4 tires and paid extra for the Road Hazerd.

We took the tire to the PepBoys where she bought the tires and left to eat lunch.

When we got back to the store my nephew went in the see about the tire. I looked up and here he comes rolling the tire out the front door to the car. I got out of the car to see what was going on, they did not put a patch in it or replace it as they should, but put a plug in it about the size of a small cigar. I asked him why he was puting the tire on the car him self and he said PepBoys told him it would be a 45 min. Wait.

I went to talk them and noticed there was only car in all the bays and the person that was working on it was there at the desk and he-heing about getting it fixed.

I tried to talk to the manager and tell him that I was told you should not put a plug in a radial tire. Some time back I asked HIBDON about putting a plug in a radial tire for me and they would not put a plug in a radial.

His statement was - if we can fix it we have to fix it!

To me the tire was not fixable. I went up front and asked for the store manger, the person there said he was the manager, so I tried to talk to him about it, he went to the back I heard a lot of lafing and he said (I have to do want he said, he is the manager!) I asked - will why did you tell you were the manager? He starts in that he was going to call the COPS.

So I left the store, my nephew put the tire on the car and my 85 year old mother is now driving her car with a tire ready to BLOW!
