Very unprofessional people in the front office ripoff

Cresent Bank financed my 2000 Toyota Avalon about 3 years ago. I had an accident on March 3. I filed a claim with my insurance company to get my car fixed. The appraiser came out an gave us apprasial and told us to find a body shop that would fix my car. I did just that. The appraiser told us that he would send us a check for the amount to get the car fixed and that Cresent Bank would have to sign the check in order for our incurance to honor the check.

We took the check in for them to sign the check and they refused to sign it until the car was fixed. We tried to explain to them that the person fixing the car was an independent body shop owner and he wasn't a big time body shop. He has to order the parts first and then fix the car. Cresent Bank still refuesed to sign the check. But they offered to sign the check if we were to put the check towards paying off the car to them.in other words, they wanted to keep the money themselves rather than see my car get fixed.

I think that these are the most imcompotent bunch of professionals that I have every seen. I have contacted my lawyer and I really don't know what will happen. Thanks for having this we site.
