AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS Ripoff by Breaking Your equiptment GAINESVILLE, FLA. Broke off dual twin trucker antenna's on lift & now refuse to replace or repai

In feburary I brought my Van to AAMCO Transmissions in Gainesville Florida for a starter repair. I ended up leaving my - vehicle with them for two weeks. When I picked up my vehicle I noticed the Dual Twin Trucker Antenna's where missing, so I returned to the shop to ask the (New) manager where they' d gone?

Joe's reply was', "I did'nt take them off"!"Let me go ask my mechanic if he took them off"?! (I waited as he went into the shop to question the mechanic), Joe had a smirk on his face when he returned, and said, "My mechanic says he also did 'nt remove them"! So, I guess you are out of luck, are'nt you?

I asked Joe if he felt that AAMCO had some liability here, because a pair of $89.00 antennas' did'nt just unscrew themselves and walk away! His response was, " Were not liable for anything you leave here to have repaired." It all falls back on the owner of the vehicle'! This upset me! So I informed ole' Joe, that we'd see what my attorney had to say about it and left.

The very next day, my neighbor was out looking at my van and I mentioned what happened at aamco, so he hopped up on the side of my van and told me to come take a closer look...'the antennas had been snapped off! Probably, when they put the van on the lift to take the starter off, (I saw it on the lift), but
it was too high up to see the antennas at the time.

I then went in the house to call the corporate office in Pennsylvania, I left my name & number for them to call me back.

Later that Day (Gregory) from customer relations called and spoke with me and he agreed that the dealer had liability coverage and needed to step up and be responsible. I have'nt heard anything back yet, but I hope they do the right thing!

They call me "Sue Happy", and my name is not "SUE" either.
