Lied about condition of truck, Gave me a false passing inspection report, Didn't answer calls and emails regarding the truck i bought, RIPOFF

These people advertise used commercial trucks in truckpaper.com. They also have their own website mandbtruck.com where they show their trucks for sale and most dont have the price in ad.

I dealt with Mark over the phone and through emails before taking this 1100 mile trip to purchase a truck he described as able to pass a DOT inspection. When i showed up i could see the truck needed some repairs, which included a oil leak, damaged rear end parts, and both rear ends were leaking.

He failed to mention these as well as the passenger door not opening, city horn not working, problems with loose knobs and dash components, before i took this trip to Alabama. The steering wheel was loose, the quarter fender fell off on a test drive, and the inside lights only worked when the door was open and some were missing.

I was only concerned with major issues like engine, transmission, rear ends, and saftey issues that would put me out of service or risk my life as well as the public.

When i drove the truck home i had to stop for an emergency fuel leak (which was dangerous and costly to repair) he said he had fixed that leak after i asked him why it was put on a previous inspection report.

I asked him numerous times about the most important things such as engine and rear ends and was reasured they were reliable. When i finally got around to getting an oil sample on the truck the lab report concluded it has coolant in the oil (which is not good news at all).

I also went to my local DMV to get an inspection done and was put OUT OF SERVICE on the spot for camed over brakes and bad slack adjusters as well as a by passed air cleaner. The DOT officer showed me where the front brake shoes had not touched the drums (since Carter was in office) due to the amount of rust and space between shoes and drum.

I tried to contact Mark Searcy on this matter through phone and email. He blocked my email address and doesnt return calls. I would strongly caution potential buyers seeking to purchase a used tractor or trailer at this dealership.

I spent my last dollar to fix things on this truck and dont know how much the (coolant in engine oil) is going to cost to repair but it was a hard lesson learned and i dont wish it on anyone else. This dealership was not into this truck for $12,000 for a month later sold it to me for $17,000 and hadn't fixed a thing on it. Finley Truck Sales gets an F from me and i learned a very expensive lesson.
