Williams Chevrolet
Dishonest, very poor communcation, nonresponsive, evasive

On February 8th my wife and I went to Williams Chevrolet (Automax) in Traverse City Michigan looking to purchase a used vehicle. When we first arrived the salesman that we began talking with ran our drivers licenses through a computer according to him trying to win us a car. We both won a $25.00 gas card good at SpeedWay which I was later told that we would not get because we didn't buy a new vehicle. We were at Automax which is the used vehicle department. We were also told that the vehicle would come with a full tank of gas, I was affraid that I would run out before I made it to the gas station.

The vehicle that we purchased is a 1999 S-10 Blazer we bought a 2 year warranty with it for $1750 which I was told by the next salesman that we talked to would take care of any problem that we had with the vehicle.

The vehicle had a problem with reverse when we looked at it and we was told that they would get it in and get it fixed within a week it has now been 10 days and they will not even return my phone calls.

I have contacted the bank where we financed and they told me that I could cancell the warranty the underwriter of the warranty told me that they would most likly not pay for the transmission any ways due to it being such a big repair.

They also told me that if I took the vihicle in and allowed them to fix it that I would not only be held responsible for the repair bill which would be between $1600.00 and $2000.00 but also car rental on the loaner vehicle.

The one time that I was able to catch up with the salesman which was on 2/13/07 I told him that I felt like I had been screwed because I needed the vehicle and that is why I bought it. He told me "you did not have a vehicle to drive when you came in here, what are you complaining about?" we traded in a mini van that ran just fine on this other vehicle it just had really high milage on it.

The bottom line is that I now have a vehicle that I have to make a $300.00 a month payment on and I can not even drive it. 10 days after purchase and I still have not recieved any type of paper work on the vehicle. I have no registration for it for the license plate that we transferred to it from the van or anything

I have been SCREWED! By Williams Cfhevrolet and they will screw you too!
