Pep Boys
Unexperienced, Abusive and unresponsive to complaint mistreated and ripped off

I have a 2000 Mazda 626 in which I brought to PEP BOYS to replace my front brakes in December they did the work in which I paid more for Mazda brake pads (suppose to be better?) The brake pads had a lifetime warranty.in March I needed new brakes once again so I brought the car back to PEP BOYS to replace the brakes. Upon doing so I did not get reimbursed for the pads, I paid full price for the job after hearing from every service person that they would get to the refund later.

I got fustrated and left to go to get 2 new front tires from a local tire place. When the tire person proceeded to take off 1 lug nut the pieces it screws onto came right off, He told me whoever did the brake job put the lug nuts on wrong. I brought the car right back to PEP BOYS (30 minutes in between) They told me they were experienced mechanics and something like that would not happen from them. I proposed that the Mechanic proceed to try to remove all the lug nuts to see what would happen.

From the first lug nut to the last the lug nuts either wouldn't come off or as they came off so did the piece they screwed into. The mechanic told me that they would do the work @ Charge but he had to charge me for the parts (lug nuts & piece it goes into) I said no way let me speak to your supervisor When I proceeded to open my mouth to the supervisor not even 2 words later he told me to SHUT UP. Finally, they agreed to give the parts for free.

Then another problem occured they didn't have the right size for the piece the lug nuts attach to so agreed to put short ones on but told me I had to come back and pay for the new ones that were the correct size. After spending all day there I just sat waiting teary eyed and a sales associate said to me "the way the manager is treating you is wrong and he does this all the time here's the number to report him to the corporate office"

I called 5 times left 5 messages, no return call. I e-mailed no response. So still till today I haven't received my $55.00 for my brake pads, had to pay a new mechanic to fix my lugs and grip piece and never even got a Fair chance to say anything about it to anyone involved with PEP BOYS, not to mention lost a whole day sitting at PEP BOYS with my 4 year old son being abused by these people.

Please do not use pep boys, seems like they take a 2 week course to be called "mechanics"
