Door locking Mechanism needs recalled Ripoff

The door locking mechanism in my ford explorer is messed up. If someone accidentally locks the door then the driver side door will not open with a key, by unlocking, or by opening from the inside. This needs to be a recall from ford as if I were to wreck and not be able to open my door because of this how would I get my 2 children out of the car? I have talked to some other people and this seems to be a big problem with these vehicles so I think that maybe the ford company should check into this and see what the problem is.
