This company calls and makes threats if you are ONE day late with payment

I have NEVER seen anything like this finance company. My payments are due on the 15th of the month. A couple of times, I had sent the payment a couple days before the due date and they had not received it by the 16th. Just ONE day late and they called me. When I told them I had sent a check a couple of days ago, they wanting me to cancel the check I sent and let them take it out of my checking account by direct debit. There is a 10 day grace period. They claimed that the check wouldn't be processed before the end of the 10 day grace period and I would be charge a late fee.

Every check I have sent them was processed in far less than 10 days. They began to ask me where the vehicle was parked, what color it was and what condition it was in (as if to threaten repossession). They said they would continue to call until they receive the payment. They were acting as if I was several months behind in the payments. Come on... One day late and they are having a heart attack.

I recently traided the vehicle in. The dealer is supposed to send them a check for the pay-off amount. I told them this. After two weeks, they have not received the pay-off check yet. They are calling me every night to ask about the money. They said they will continue to call until they get the check. I have never know a finance company to be like this. You would think it would be illegal for them to call someone for being one day late (not even out of the grace period).
