Cars & Transport

On 10-18-06 me and my husband had bought a 2006 Chrysler Sebring from car nation after searching for a long time and having a hard time getting financing because of recent bankruptcy. The salesman, Tyson, had drove the car to us and told us the car was in great condition with no problems and told us the warranty would cover anything.

The very next day the car was bottoming out very bad, driver door was not opening easily, and the window was not rolling down right. So right away they wanted to take the car in to get it fix.

They came to get the car Friday 10-20-06 and said it would be back by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday came they said Wed, Wed came they said their driver quit, Tyson then promised me Friday morning. Fri. Morning came No car, Eric said the car just got fixed and it'll be there today around 3 or 4,4 came No car, Mike said Tyson had to get his kid and it'll be later today.

Finally right before 7 at night my car was returned with nothing fixed, it still had all the same problems. Then we was waiting on the paper work for the car and the check for the taxes that was included in the loan. We called almost everyday asking for them. One day Mike would say the check got sent to the state, the next day it's in the mail, everyday it was something new.

Not having the time to take the car in to a Chry. Dealer, which is almost 2 hours away, on 10-16-06 we took it in to a closer mech. They looked at the car for less the 20 min. Then called me to let me know the car had been in a major wreck having bent ball joints, broking boot, bent arms, wrong size tires, tires rubbing on the ball joint causing it to rust, and just a list of repairs. Advised us to take it back and it would be well over a thousand to fix, and there could be more damage when they got in to fix that.

So we called CAR NATION back that same day and talked to Mike, first he said thats normal wear and tare (car had 5550 miles), then said the mech didn't know what he was talking about, then finally he had told us we could trade it in or if we paid for parts they would pay for labor but call back Monday and talk to the other boss, ERIC KNUDTSON.

We parked the car and going through items in the car we found a business card for a auto broker, Eckley. We called and talked to them and they informed us that they buy and sell repos, damaged, and repair cars, and all buyers and seller are informed of that. Monday we called back and talked to ERIC, it was a big joke he didn't care at all. He told us it has been over 30 days so it's not his problem.

We had called them almost everyday and they never did what they said they would, to this day we have no received any paper work, we got a check for $750 yesterday, but the taxes are $832.50 and they where due Friday the 17th so we have a later charge on them.

These people have took advantage of us, lied, and mispresented the car. We paid $16750 for a wrecked car that is parked because we don't have the money to fix it. They do not help people with credit problems they dig a bigger hole. Beware
