Blew it! Radiator split at the seams, blown not less than 5 miles from shop! Ripoff

Just an FYI to anyone out there. I took our truck (our only vehicle) to Jiffy Lube and I got the lube job! I went in for a Oil Change and a Winterization (Radiator Flush). I wasn't given a report of findings on what they found, and paid 91.00 for this service! I got out of the parking lot and was on the way to the bank drive thru when the radiator blew at the steams & steam went everywhere!

The engine and I were both hot and steaming when we got to the radiator shop where I was told I needed a new radiator cost? $356.00 Tax (almost 8%).

I called Jiffy Lube to speak to someone there and I was offered another oil change and flushing? Why? Damage was already done, I asked to speak to a manager or owner and what the # was where they were at might be. I didn't get the information I wanted, but I did get a an acknowledgement of liability, so, I started my investigation.

I found out they are owned by Doorknocker Enterprizes, LLC. The Owner is a Mark H and his # is 503-582-0505 they are in Wilsonville, OR.

I contacted Mark and told him what happened, he wanted the name of where we took the truck, which I supplied. He reluctantly refunded the $91.00, for the "service" I got, but had all sorts of questions like when was the last time the truck was serviced, who did it? Did we do any hauling with our truck. You get the picture. Our truck has a heavy duty tow package, however it has not been used to haul anything in several years! We did our own flush last year, this time I was trying to suprise a hard working hubby!

I have yet to hear back from this man and think the next time he tries to "service" a woman he should turn the lights off and the sheets down! Lets be a gentleman and refund the rest of what you owe us Mark! We are a hard working small family, who was forced to take out a high intrest payday loan to pay for the repairs, you have admitted Liability... So now just turn it over to your insurance or do what ever you have to do to make this right and reimburse us our money!
