Ripoff dishonest service department-warranty work not honored

Brought in a 2006 Cobalt for service and was told that the clutch was bad because of "wear and tear". This was told to us before they even checked out the clutch. They then told us that they would make a deal with the company and offered to put it in with a 50/50 split. This was on a Monday... Wednesday they called and told us that something went wrong with how they put in the clutch and that they had to order MORE parts and that it would take an extra couple of days to fix. I asked if they could reimburse the rental car costs.

This was denied but was told that they would now go 60/40 on the bill. I told them that I did not want to pay for anything that happened after they "messed up on the initial work". Four days later the work is finally done. I owe them $691.87! This includes an oil change. I owe the rental car company almost $400.00. I called a couple of reputable car service shops that quoted me around $850.00 to have this work done and that it would be done in two days!!!

Bill Heard told me that the clutch work was worth around $1200.00. I am having a hard time with this and still feel that it was a defective clutch that should have lasted longer than 11 months.
I am hoping that the car stays together long enough to last for another year.
