Ripoff

I bought a car in 2000 and financed through Traid Fiancial Corporation. The car was priced at $16,000. I was told that it would be at 7 %. I have paid almost 6 years on this car at $389.00 a month.

After everything was said and done I received the statement and that the % rate was 18%. I lost my job and was 3 months behind and asked if they could take partial payments or refinance my loan and was told that I have to bring this current before they could help. Well if I could do that I wouldnt need the help.

They called me and my husband at work and at home and even my parents and friends to speak to us atleast 12 times a day.

They made several attempts to repossesss this car.

I have paid them almost $23,000 and finally flied bankrupcy. They claim that I still owe $10,000 on the car because the money went to the interest. I have been trying to make a deal with them to let me pay them the balance in payments or if they could let me pay off the car at a different price. They stood firm and told me that they were coming to take my car. The book value now is $4900.00, I have had my identity stolen so I cannot get a different car. I have to have a car and they are just rotten people. As far as I am concerned they got their money and then some.
