.8/22/06 -Brought in Suzuki Sidekick car to Advanced transmissions and Emissions for transmission and clutch diagnosis, complained of difficulty getting car in gear.
.8/22/06 Greg Kaiser (owner) gives me verbal estimate that the transmission needed to be rebuilt at a cost of 600-1200 dollars.
.8/22/06- I (Daniel Steinberg) approve transmission removal.
.8/23/06- Owner gives me verbal repair estimate of 1564.00 to rebuild the transmission and $385 to reinstall defective transmission. I approve of transmission rebuild.
.9/11/06- I picked up the Suzuki from the shop. Bill comes to 1743.20.
.9/25/06- I return the Suzuki to Advanced transmissions and emissions under the 1 year warranty because the car smells of transmission oil and I'm having difficulty getting the car into gear.
.9/27/06- I pick up the car at Advanced Transmissions and Emissions. Greg Kaiser (owner) states that the oil smell was because some oil was spilled on the transmission and that they cleaned it up. They also bled the clutch hydraulic system (remove air). They claimed that there was nothing wrong with the shifting or the transmission, and they refuse to fix it.
.9/28/06- I begin to get the car checked at several transmission shops. These shops give me written estimates or statements as to what is wrong with the transmission which is that it leaks transmission oil, and that there are internal problems with the rebuilt transmission. They state that the transmission needs a complete rebuild.
P.S. This owner (Greg Kaiser) was formerly doing business as a Lee Myles transmission shop. You can see more complaints against him by doing a search on usacomplaints.com on Lee Myles in Phoenix on Bell Rd. And Thomas Rd.
