I leased a vehicle from Luxury Motors, in Downers Grove, IL on 4/22/06 and I have yet to recieve the proper paperwork in order to register the vehicle. To date (9/14/06), it has been almost 6 months since I signed the lease with them. I have called them on a monthly basis to inquire about the status of the title and it came to my attention in June that they leased me this car without having titled the car in the their name. As I questioned their title department further (Kelly), she stated that they may not be able to get a title on this vehicle. When I asked Kelly as to why, she stated that this car came from Alabama and was located there during Hurricane Katrina. This was news to me! Luxury Motors failed to disclose where this automobile came from when I leased it.

Furthermore, I contacted the Illinois Secretary of State and they informed me that the title was on hold for quality control issues. I continued to call and leave messages with Kelly, in the title department at Luxury Motors, and they have ALL gone unanwsered. This made me wonder why I was being ignored.

So, today (9/14/06) I called the Illinois Secretary of State to inquire about the status of the title and they informed me that this vehicle was issued a title on 8/31/06 and it is FLOOD DAMAGED!!!

I called to speak with the general manager, named Geno Oprea, and he was the most rude person I have ever had to deal with. He basically was trying to tell me that I was stupid and that the Illinois Secretary of State is totally in the wrong. When I asked him why Luxury Motors waited until June to try to title this automobile, since they have had possession of this automobile since 9/26/05, he basically brushed the question off. I demanded that he take the vehicle back, or I will be in contact with an attorney to pursue litigation he basically laughed at me and said that he didn't sell me the car. What Class!

So, this leaves me with no other choice but to contact an attorney to pursue litigation against Luxury Motors. Stay away from them at all costs!!! They are frauds and liars.
