Sorry to report this late, In september I purchased a used 1995 Tahoe from a local new car dealer, the owner and his wife greeted us and seemed real friendly and made us feel comfortable. The vehicle had low, low mileage, which concerned me, the owner assured me this vehicle was bought from, serviced, and traded back to his dealership from the original owner and that this is a good vehicle.
We haggled and agreed on a price as long as I buy the GMPP drivetrain warranty in case something does happen, he's cutting his profit and would lose $ if repairs came up.
After taking delivery the vehicle was pulling to the left, after 4 trips to his dealership, the vehicle pulls to the right, I totally gave up on them aligning it any further. Two weeks of owning the vehicle I get a call saying the financial papers were incorrectly signed and to bring in our papers to sign new ones, we resigned the new papers without reading them because they looked fimiliar and I thought I could trust these kind folks.
One month later the vehicle needed work, so I brought it to a local dealer for warranty repais only to discover that when I picked up the vehicle, the service advisor tells me I don't have a GMPP warranty, I have an Easy Care warranty with a higher deductable! I called the owner and he said to bring the reciept and a list of problems with the vehicle and he would take care of it, I did just that and got a call from the service manager saying he can't do work thats not covered and he wasn't reimbursing me for the previous repair, then why did they want the reciept?
After numerous attempts to contact the owner were unsucessful, I told his receptionist I was gonna start writing and calling if I don't hear from him, 45 seconds later my phone rings and I'm told to "never, ever threaten an Italian, you hear me!". So, why write now, I've put 4500 miles on the vehicle and the monthly repair cost are sky rocketing and I also found out this vehicle was bought from a wholesale lot, not traded to his dealership, I would never have bought a wholesale piece, never!
I traded in a Pick Up with 113,000 miles on it that was better than this vehicle with 48,000 miles. I feel these people make you feel comfortable and trusting and then turn the screws.
