3rd transmission

Cars & Transport

I own a 2008 Ford F150 Lariat Super crew. I bought this vehicle brand new in 2008. It now has approx. 80,000 miles on it. I also bought Ford Service contract from the dealership in which the transmission was part of the service., I service my vehicle religiously every 3000 - 5000 miles and since I have a service contract with Ford I always bring it in to the Ford dealership and make sure that the trans is always serviced.in July I was told by the service writer that my trans needed to be replaced but since I had a service contract with them it was still covered under warranty and would be free of change. So they replaced it. Just recently i brought my vehicle in to repair a electric window that did not work and was changed over $300 for this repair. Along with the repair the dealership conducted a service. When picking up the vehicle I deliberately asked them if they had checked the transmission and they said "yes". About a week or two later on the way home form work I noticed that the vehicle was acting a little strange so I called the dealership and they instructed me to bring it in immediately. Upon arrival to the service isle I heard a loud noise coming from underneath the vehicle. I later was told that the vehicle needed yest a 3rd transmission and since it was over a year I would be charged $3000 for the new transmission. I do not believe that a fairly new vehicle required 3 transmissions in about 5 years. This is unacceptable to me. I have been doing business with this dealership since 2001 and have purchased or been responsible for the purchase of 14 vehicles. I am very disappointed in the way this dealership takes care of their so called VIP customers.
