Auto Service Liars and Cheats ripoff business from hell

For the last year I have used Pep Boys for all my auto service needs. I don't know why I continued to do this because, since the very first time I took my car there, I have been plagued with nothing less than misery and grief.

A.) Their mechanics and management are more interested in getting paid and rushing people out the door, rather than listen to my description of the problem I am having with my car. On more occasions than I care to remember I have turned my car in for service and picked it up only to discover that the problem has not been fixed and that a new problem has occurred. It seems that Pep Boys solution to fixing any automotive ailment is to replace perfectly good alternators and charging for the labor.

B.) I have spent over $1200 for Pep Boys mechanic to perform absolutely no beneficial service to my car. On every occasion they have failed to fix the problem which I reported. When I question them about this they are suddenly incapabale of understanding English. When I persist I am yelled at by the mechanic who performed the "service" on my car, because I didn't come directly to him when I brought my car in, and, instead explained the problem my car was having to the mechanic that was handling the desk at the time.

Pep Boys is a scam. It is nothing more than a sordid mechanic shop one might see on a local news special report about garages that cheat and steal from the unsuspecting customers who count on it to repair their cars.

My car is far worse off for ever having been at Pep Boys than if no work were ever done on it at all. My most recent experience has financially broken me, and my car still remains unfixed. I have taken it to a more reputable mechanic and I will now have to pay additional money to get my car fixed for real, by a real mechanic.

Pep Boys may be a franchise name and the notices of certification for its mechanics may be displayed prominently in the lobbies of their locations, but I assure anybody who reads this that the only thing Pep Boys locations do is take up space that could otherwise be occupied by a reputable mechanic shop with integrity and concern for its customers automotive needs.

It is a mystery that Pep Boys stock remains listed on the stock exchange. Pep Boys should be ashamed of themselves. They have no honor or integrity and is less than the worst kind of white collar criminal.
